Fly away!

My black and red 1930s topper. It's not only structurally amazing, but of course the decoration is breathtaking.

  4. And you look amazing in it! :-))) The combination of red and black are usually considered to be a "no-no" when it comes to fashion hats in feathers: to harsh and very rarely becoming. But I have to say that in this case - the hat has so much character and charm - I would wear it myself!!! Have a great weekend.

  12. Dear Solanah (what a gorgeous name!), I will be delighted to see you as a guest in my Atelier.:-) Any time you are in new York, please, do write! I know what you mean by saying that sometimes people give you "the look". I often find myself in the same skin, but I tought myslef to disregard it.I also came to the conclusion that "the look" is more often has a curious nature to it. People are simly facsinated with those who dare to be different. Hold your head high! :-)))
